Bob’s Lunch Restaurant is a friendly family style restaurant. Well known for their old fashion home style cooking. Good place for a casual local bite at a good price. Food and service are good.
We are traveling and wanted a sit down lunch, and we definitely chose the right place. We arrived at about 11:45 on a Thursday and it was about 1/3 full but by noon there wasn't an empty table! Nevertheless, the service was fast, clearly this team is pro. Generous portions and delicious.

Came here for the first time after a docs appointment and BOY it did not disappoint. I got the liver and onions, my mother got country fried steak with gravy and green beans, and my brother got the jalapeno burger with fries. Its amazing and they make their own burger patties, and theres the option for fresh cut fries!!!
Great little diner style spot in Moundsville! Quick service and food is good. Breakfast menu is on the smaller side but was thrilled to see Cocoa Wheats on the menu!
Been here quite a few times now. First came across it when me and my mom were vendors in the area, needed something to eat pretty badly (she's diabetic and I have my own health issues to worry about). It was getting late, we were hungry, and there were two places side-by-side that we found... Looking at them, I said we should go with Bob's Lunch. For one reason to me... We're not in PA, and the other place had Pennsylvania stuff all through the windows and it just felt weird to me. Glad we passed it up, each time we saw that other place since it was consistently empty, and I don't trust a place that doesn't get people in to eat around Lunch or Dinner, especially Lunch. First time here, pretty empty, quite, best breakfast we've had. Another time we came for a couple burgers and some fries, I asked if I could have gravy for my fries and they brought me a tiny bowl for it. That has been my order whenever we go now. Burger and fries with a side of gravy, and there's a reason why. Up here in Pennsylvania, around Butler County, there used to be a diner called Thompson's Diner. Been gone for years, but I memorized the taste. The burgers and fries of Bob's Lunch tastes EXACTLY like that old diner. We try to go for my birthday each year, but can't with gas prices right now. We will when able though! I highly recommend those fries and burger, and the hashbrowns are good too if you hit it at breakfast. Dessert? Only place I've been to with butterscotch pie that was actually good.
We love coming here when we visit WV. The food is very decently priced and the portions are perfect. But most importantly, everything is really good! Nothing is greasy and it’s always cooked just right. The best place we have found for breakfast in this area.
I was passing through Moundsville on my way back to Ohio and was told to stop here for lunch by a local. Definitely glad I took that recommendation. It is a very busy place, but the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff hustle and provide a great dining experience. I sat at the counter and had several people check in on me throughout lunch. My food was amazing and very filling. The price was good as well. Definitely stop in for a bite.
Delicious Cole slaw, just like my mom used to make. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Does it get any better when you get breakfast anytime. Will need to come back. Too many things on the menu to try.
